Take On The World

Windows of love opening, Spirits in the heart awakening
Now… take on the world
There was a place we heard, where people cried
Where fathers left and mothers died
And we asked ourselves... What can we do?
When we were young, there was a man who had a dream
He was a prophet, he was a king
And when he said ….”WE WILL BE FREE”
I actually thought he meant both you and me
There was a boy who danced so high
He reached and almost touched the sky
When he turned to say goodbye, he sang “Take on the world”
Well, when I got there I said … “We have these songs”
And you said…”This can’t be wrong”
“We will just do this thing”… and we began, we began to sing
Windows of love opening, Spirits in the heart awakening
Now… take on the world

We are about to undertake our most crucial work yet but before we do, children in India, Darfur, throughout Africa, Asia, and here in the U.S., need our help. We continue to have great artists like Eddie Stovall, John Turner, Eric Langdon Ehrenpfort, Sheila Davis, Greg McFaden, D.J. Jonez, Shantala, and Marcus Uzilevski(Uzca) lend their talents for the greater good. You can find out more about Eddie, Damon, and Andre on "The World Famous Platters" site and more about John and Tony Turner on the "Tusk" site. Marcus also has a web site and the wonderful spiritual group Shantala has lots of info and a tour schedule on their site. This album is dedicated to children in harm's way. Proceeds will help build a safe and educational environment where they can thrive. Eddie Stovall says it all too clearly in the first track "Rise Up". We hope you will. Damon Freeman passed in 2004 in a late-night return trip from a gig in Oklahoma. We didn't think we could go on for a while. Even visited the spot on Highway#44 where he died and asked "why...this great talent?" But we can tell you this much, Damon used to say if we could save one child ,it would all be worth it. He would be so proud of this album "Take On the World". The last song tells our story with references to Africa, Martin Luther King, and Damon. We hold a dream to make a difference.
Thanks
C.C.
