Helping the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti and Chile

The musicians of Branson are gathering to help the victims of the recent earthquakes.
Join us at the Hughes Brothers Theater in Branson on March 10 at 3:00 pm. The proceeds of this concert will go to the Convoy of Hope.
Convoy of Hope, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, feeds the hungry and provides pure drinking water to people in need across the United States and around the world. To date, the organization has provided real help to 28 million people in 112 countries and 45 states.
Lauded for its effectiveness and efficiency, Convoy of Hope mobilizes thousands of volunteers each year to deliver food and supplies and to offer hope to the poor and suffering. Convoy of Hope was already on the ground in Haiti when the earthquake struck, and was therefore well positioned to provide aid.
The musicians of Branson have chosen this charity for the proceeds of this concert because of their outstanding record of delivering aid with a minimum of overhead.
Quite a contingent of Branson entertainers will be participating in the show. A few of those donating their talents are:
The Group Six, The Platters, The Hughes Brothers, George Dyer, Randy Plummer, The Lennon Brothers and Gail Lennon, Mitch Keirsey, and many more.
Please join us to help the victims of the recent earthquakes.
You can also go the
Convoy Of Hope website to donate.
Heart for Haiti
PLAY
Thunder rolling under their feet
People screaming, streaming out into the street
Little children wandering all through the town
They were there when the buildings went down
Chorus: Come together, make it better
Rolling thunder deep in the earth
People are buried while mothers give birth
The earth did the choosing who lived, who died
The earth chose those who stayed behind and cried
Chorus: Come together, make it better
(Spoken word )Children: Haiti's people struggled first to be free
and live their lives with great dignity
Mothers and fathers and children like me
Living life with love in sheer poverty
Tell us, if you can, how does this feel?
We heard someone say it feels sadly surreal
Life as you kne w it, enveloped in pain
If there was ever a time to be born again
Chorus: Come together, Build it better
There's a building whisper in the slightest wind
We will do it, we'll start all over again
As a tribute to those with a faith so strong
that underground they had hope and tried to hold on.
Chorus: Come together. Build it better
We've heard people talking, questioning the cost
The real cost, of course, is the souls we have lost
Come together.....
What would it be like if we just did good
Saw where we're needed and did what we could
Rise up together now and lend us a hand
You know we're talking about your fellow man
Chorus: Come together, make it better
Thunder rolling under their feet
People screaming, streaming out into the street
Little children wandering all through the town
They were there when the buildings went down
Once in a while we can't look away
Look past despair like it's a regular day
Here's a chance for us all to be part of the story
Like Haiti was way-back, for you and for me
In the streets walking, you can still feel the love
You know it's connected to the Lord above
As a grace settles over what's left of what was
History records what humanity does
Come together
